APAC. Ltd has just started our countdown towards 20 years of trading in commercial archaeology. Over the years, we have depended almost 99% on word-of-mouth referrals, although I once had a confirmed project from the email address on the side of the works van. All in all, I think referral is the best form of advertising, freely offered, and honest, rather than dependent on paid subscription memberships or advertising.
In the early days, logistics, (I was a single parent) meant that APAC. Ltd was restricted to a local area, but since 2017-2018 and an increase in staff, we have been working further afield; covering southern and central Wales and venturing into western and central England.
As well as traditional archaeological work we have always been at the forefront of survey and recording techniques, all of which reduce recording error and time delays on both site and in the office; which in turn reduces reporting costs.
