Watching brief

A watching brief is one of the most common archaeological planning conditions. APAC Ltd carry out a large number of these, of varying sizes, each year.

Typically a watching brief is required either when an area is deemed likely to contain archaeological remains but the development is comparatively small or when previous phases of archaeological work have already been undertaken on a site and the results recommended a further watching brief be carried out.
